The Witches, Lizzie, Dimitri, and Pirate are all coming down from the action that happened in Night of the Living Demon Slayer; and they just want some R&R! Though as we have come to find out Lizzie and the gang never quite get what they want when the supernatural comes calling. Oh and does it come calling in this short. A nice beautiful plantation style restaurant turns into a haunting experience when the ghost of the Master of the Manor shows up, and he is a vitriol spilling bible quoting bastard of a ghost! Lizzie, Dimitri, and the Witches, with a whole lot of help from the awesome Pirate must put this ghost down. They also need to set free the Ghostly Lady of the Manor. Sometimes you only need a little love to help stand up for what is right!
There is not a pet in any other series out there that I love more then cute little Pirate, he is without a doubt my favorite pet in literary existence. Pirate makes this short, and I love that Mrs. Fox lets pirate be pirate! I totally could have kept reading though and was so sad when it ended. I'm always left wanting more of this series!

Not bad. I actually like these little snippets, but would love for them to be a little longer. They vary in length, but catching up to everyone is always fun and continually highlights that there is NO rest for a demon slayer.
I really like the Demon Slayer series. I'm not a romance reader and there are definitely a lot of "hot" scenarios but the book is full of surprises and
adventures. The characters are like able and I can't wait for the next in the series.
The tales are best enjoyed if you read from the first book in the series and follow the sequence in order.
All they want is a nice celebration of their first anniversary. Of course, that includes all of the bikers and Pirate, the dog. Can't leave him behind. In typical fashion, what looks like a lovely B&B ....isn't. It has a nasty ghost and Lizzie and Demitri need to get rid of him pronto. I never get tired of antics of this big extended family. I hope the series continues for a long time. (I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review)
Angie Fox once again gives us a wonderful story of love and laughter. It's Lizzie and Dimitri's first anniversary and they want some time alone away from the chaos of the biker witches, pirate and the supernatural....unfortunately pirate doesn't understand that and accompanies lizzie and Dimitri on their anniversary dinner to an old plantation restaurant that was once a bed and breakfast. As the story unfolds we discover the bed and breakfast has been shut down due to a few accidents be falling it's patrons. Angie Fox gives us ghosts and shoves how much trouble evil spirits can be when lizzie and Dimitri are transported into another demension by a spirit who thinks women are evil and unclean to incite list on men. The spirit punishes women especially his wife by beating them. Through the love and bravery that only pirate could show, the spirits wife finds her own courage stands upto her husband and defeats him. Even in a short story Angie Fox manages to show that even the most common of characters can be extraordinary and that magic and the supernatural is everywhere. I love how Angie Fox has evolved with each of the biker witches characters as well as pirate lizzie and Dimitri, o look forward to many more demon slayer books!
What a great short story!! I absolutely love this series. I think it is one of my all time favs!! When Lizzy and Dimitri try to get away for a private evening to celebrate their first anniversary they get more than just a great meal! Pirate tags along and befriends a ghost being abused by her also ghostly husband. It's up to Lizzy and the witches to save the day. With the help of Pirate!!
This is a great short story to keep you entertained between books. The whole cast of wacky and wonderful characters are along for the ride. Even if you haven't read the entire series you will enjoy this story. There is enough backstory involved to catch up a new reader and enough humor and adventure to satisfy the fans!! Another must read by Angie Fox!!

I liked the Biker Witch books from the first one and it still continues. The characters are likeable and interesting. This was a short story, just perfect for reading on your lunch hour. Just a nice taste until book 8 comes out. I've come to the conclusion that Lizzie and Dimitri can't go anywhere without something evil finding them. And over the last seven books and a novella, how many times Lizzie dog Pirate steals the story. I love that dog. Although this book comes after the Night of the Living Demon Slayer, you can read it to see if the series interests you, you're missing a lot of the background of the first seven books, but still it's a good 'test' book.
so this is a short novella that takes place after night of the demon slayer and before the next book which is due to come out oct--- so for those of you who don't know--- lizzie is a demon slayer - married to dimitri a shape shifting griffin - and her grandma is a witch - who rides with a coven of biker witches- and who also owns a dog named pirate that talks=== the gang is back from new orleans and are in georgia and dimitri has found just the place to celebrate their 1st anniversary and have a romantic dinner a charming antebellum mansion. what could go wrong right???? just about everything- seems the mansion is haunted and one of the ghosts is very evil and is keeping other ghosts from moving on--- and even with the witches help they are battling a supernatural being that is above their skills and are losing - when all of a sudden an unexpected hero rises to the occassion !!!! - this was a fun suspenseful humorous fast paced story with the engaging characters we all love in the slayer series- and for 99 cents a steal - and now i am eagerly awaiting the next book
